New GW...??

Maybe the programme has had people contacting them saying 'Monty keeps growing that chard stuff - but what do you do with it?'

That programme that linked gardening and cooking - Raymond Blanc and Kew Gardens, seemed pretty popular - perhaps they're just taking a leaf (see what I did there ) out of their book.

Lesley - if I'm not careful that's not all he might see from that angle

Looks like there's someone with their pants on fire over on the Winter Gardening thread

A winter gardening thread is a good idea -  but I don't think a Canadian garden centre selling hydroponic systems  is going to be of interest to most of us

Cosmos gone mad

When did you plant them out?  How much sun are they getting?

This article suggests that too much fertiliser may be the problem

HELLO FORKERS! October Edition

Hello folks - I'm back

Physio worked on my neck and upper back this time - I'm certainly having a good seeing to and my shoulder is certainly easier than it was. However, when I drive for more than 20 mins or so I get pain in my underarm and upper arm muscles, so she says there's obviously something still wrong somewhere - I have a new exercise where I have to stretch backwards over a hard chair-back - shall have to get OH to hold onto my ankles

Hello Lesley   glad your parents are 'ok'

Strictly is back!

I doubt if it were the response he made to Len - it wasn't a fracas in my book - he simply made a point, politely and reasonably.  After all, he spoke up in a similar way with Simon Cowell and it endeared him to everyone.  Strictly is a tv show and the judges are only part of it - it's not the same as a proper competition, otherwise there wouldn't be a public vote. There's more to it, and we'll probably never know the full story - if it's personal it should also be private as far as I'm concerned.

Hello and welcome Catnap   looking forward to getting to know you.

Hosta, I was keeping you company until about 1.30 last night - think brain was buzzing from watching National Treasure - brilliant production!  And I totally agree with you about Julie Walters.

Hello too to the rest of you - in a bit of a rush this morning - need to get ready to catch the bus for my physio session - back later this afternoon ...

How to stop standards growing!?

You have to support the stem with canes until it's strong enough to cope without. With some plants that can take several years.

Can't have it both ways Ob  We either have to take what info we're given at face value, or insist on knowing all the celebrity's personal/medical info and draw our own conclusions.

I've always felt that WY is a relatively sensible individual who has managed his career quite well despite having had some 'issues'. I'm sure he's well able to make his own decision based on awareness of his own capabilities and frailties and being aware of the consequences of whatever choice he makes. His first duty is to his own well-being.
