But starting treatment  early  in the year, is best!!

HYGIENE is very important (& like Roses , clear away/burn any infected leaves & cuttings ...To prevent problems next year

Could you "Negotiate", for a patch somewhere , to pls you both ?

Roots being pale orange/yellow in colour & surface running can be lifted (not all @ once though )..  natural where possible  !     Good luck

I do keep it short until July/August .. Then leave a little longer for moisture retention !

I keep short as it's easier to nip a little off the top regularly  ,,(i've no Grass box)..

Grass is always green again 2 days after cutting anyway ..

I've been "had" a few times for example , by wasps, after Trimmimg around awkward areas !   

BEES GOOD !  wasps not

How about Runner Beans  ??  (early so protect !)   ..OR another such like !? ..&  ..Quick ! gives you time to grow another type of screen !

Petrol lawn mower

I'm no expert ..

Totally depends on your needs/budget /lawn size ?? etc

As a rule of thumb anything over 2000m2  really needs a ride-on (or half a days mowing)

Maintenance will make the difference, if you can spend a little more ?

My ride on is about 10 yrs old  but  needed new valves & Carburetor !  Now running nicely !  ( Always fingers crossed )

The engine is a Briggs & stratton ,so parts & longevity is now proven !

Most mowers are made up from different parts,  & from different manufactures !!

The choice is yours !  Hp rating for engine suggestion about 4 hp

Just out of curiosity is anyone mowing yet  in the U.K. ?

I started last week ...  It's better than watching paint dry & quicker 

I'm glad i got that ride-on fixed last Autumn ~ Special thanks to Dad in law (specialist)

Talkback: Growing citrus plants

Hi .. I planted an orange pip about 15 yrs ago ....Still growing & loves the sun ..

Last summer had first flowers ... After Bees covered it ... now have small fruits forming !

The fruit if anything may not come to much as the original stock was unknown

My point is that i've found them very forgiving  ..,  much light & keep scale insect @' bay with mild soap & a toothbrush ( cover the soil in pot from the cleaning solution ! )  I under water if anything!
