Sweetpeas

Thanks everyone for your advice! I think I'll try growing them in a shadier spot next year as they have been exposed to full sun this time. The joys of gardening - always a learning curve however long you've been doing it!

Thanks, maybe that's the case!  it has been very dry in our neck of the woods.

Yes, we've been trying to do that every evening!   It's strange as a couple of my runner bean plants which were planted next to the sweet peas have also died although they were infested with blackfly.   Haven't noticed any pests on the sweet peas though.

Help! My sweetpeas which were growing well and producing an abundance of beautiful flowers seem to be deteriorating fast. Some have died off completely and others are yellowing and producing droopy flowers with shorter stems than before. We live in a drier part of the country but have tried to water and feed them regularly. Any ideas what the problem might be? I was hoping for a steady supply of flowers throughout the summer!

Thanks Bob.  I'll take your advice and leave off on the feeding.   Hopefully it will be worth the wait!

I'm having a go at growing peppers for the first time and have two healthy looking plants, probably about a foot and a half high, in the greenhouse.   Just wondering when I might start seeing some flowers developing.....any thoughts gratefully received!!
