The 4th one looks like an impatiens of some sort. It might be Himalayan balsam, so suggest you google same.

Having just worked on a border that has a very vigorous golden hop, I can tell you that the roots are fibrous and long reaching, so I think that the chances of digging it up with the rootball intact are minimal. But I just googled 'propagating hops' and root cuttings seem to be the way to go.

As I'm keen on recycling, I sometimes use (vacated) snail shells to cover cane tips. Looks pleasingly macabre.

My beans have been pathetic this year, have only been able to get a few decent pickings- the slugs had a field day. But last year I had a great crop, and made a batch of runner bean chutney, still got a few jars left.

I think Frank meant rotovator, which are excellent tools if you don't have any perennial weeds in the area you want to cultivate.
