You need to pot them into individual pots and find a bright windowsill for any of them to survive over winter

Don't cut it back until the end of winter, the leaves will protect it from the cold. But you need to try and cut it back just before the new leaves start to grow or you will get cut ends

Root Trainers for Sweet Peas?

I only use the peat pots for fast growing things like courgettes, they tend to get a bit soft the longer something is growing in them, you might find they have disintegrated by the time you want to plant out you sweet peas.

I have the deep root trainers which can also be used for growing peas, broad beans, French beans, runners beans, sweetcorn, morning glory and probably a whole load of other things I haven't thought of. If you are careful when you use them they should last for a good few seasons.

Powdery mildew caused by dry roots and warm weather. Just needs a lot more water, is it planted with shade at the roots? And not too near a wall?

Clematis

How far away from the wall do you plant them? Could you be planting them too close? The wall could be sucking up some moisture as well as casting a rain shadow. Clematis likes to have it's roots in the shade, it might also need some rotted cow manure in there.
