Inka, that looks wonderful - what a contrast to the outside scene. Dogs are great at baleful stares, aren't they? Brilliant word, baleful

Oooh, Bjay, this is more tension filled than the pointless gap before announcements in SCD.

Becks, what a pain

I feel like a party pooper now having no tree to display. You've all done such spectacular jobs
Usually I end up with the sad half-price one that no-one wanted. But I'm into rescuing things so that's fine. And they look just as pretty when decorated.

Caz, I love your little acacia tree. That's definitely my sort of 'thing'!

Warming up and drying out after wet dog walk - then I really must get on!!

Hello Festive Folk.

The dashing in and out of here by everyone is indicative of the build-up to Christmas. I'm a terrible last-minuter but then again I only have OH and myself to think about this year - dogs have no expectations!

Rain, your Lydia looks such a beauty, how sad that she has gone. For those who remember Twinks, the stray kitten I found, it seems he is finally to get a home; he has been with a foster mum for a few months now and the dog rescue is having trouble rehoming the four cats that we acquired. I would so loved to have kept him but the dogs would not permit it.

Hello Maud. So sorry to hear it is a sad time for you.

I've been really chuffed (choughed??) to have a nuthatch visiting my seed feeder the last few days though he's incredibly wasteful - I think he only wants one sort of seed and throws all the others out. Another uncommon visitor to my garden turned up today - Lady Blackcap, I hope her mate is not too far away. It's amazing how things chnge over the years; once a goldfinch was a rare sight here and a greenfinch common, now it's the other way round.

I am sadly treeless though hoping to source one by the weekend.

I'm with Plusnet, should anyone be interested, and have always had excellent service and rarely, if ever, lose the connection.

Choccy hedgehog, Geoff. They hibernate so won't be up in time for breakfast.

Hello Everyone, by the way.
