I got a parcel this morning. Just Dorset Wildlife Trust calendar and a couple of packs of Christmas cards - but it was nice to have something to open.

Caz, seasonal Welsh cakes, fab idea!  I could have spent a fortune in Lakeland and usually do. Need to hold back on baking as once started, I find it hard to stop.

Poor dog! Pepper dog covers his embarrassing moments the way that a cat does - by pretending he was just intending to do that all along.

Geoff, I think you'll find that one needs a potato peeler to  prepare the chips before a fryer can be employed. Unless you do elfy chips with the sknis on, I spose.

Morning all, oh it's just switched to afternoon. Had to go out and look for something to wear to a festive meal on Thurs. Went earlyish as hate shopping centres esp. when crowded. Headache & not in the mood but came back with a sparklyish top that can go with black skirt. 

Had a good pooch round Lakeland while OH in camera shop so not all doom and gloom. Bought a potato peeler.Exciting or what ?

Jean, I think it was Jean, posted the snowman poem that I used to give to year 2 and 3 (6 & 7 yr olds for those not in the know) for handwriting practice. Went down very well.

Jo, I recently got caught out going down a local road at infant school collecting time. Gridlock ensued when two people heading in opposite directions through the remaining gap between the double-parked parents both refused to give way and cars coming up behind them didn't know what was going on. Eventually two mums got out of their cars and started directing traffic so it could be resolved. I believe that this was not the first such occurrence.
