Morning forkers. Well the rain's finally stopped, hoping this situation will last for a week or two.

Have no time to play today as there is a room to finish clearing before 8 am tomorrow. it's not so much getting all the stuff out, it's finding places to store it while the work's being done.

Be good, play nicely. Seey'all later.

Evening Dean, Bjay, Geoff, Jo, Jean and anyone who's lurking.

Jean my spare bedroom was my dumping ground until OH moved in and needed somewhere for all his 'stuff'!!!

Nice lights, Dean. Solar powered, are they?

For Christmas dinner I can offer stuffing.

Bloomin' nora, you disappear for a day and a bit and come back to a different world. I haven't the faintest clue what's what round here. When was the end of the world announced???

The decorator phoned today and asked if he could start a day early. So my clear-out of the dining room has taken on a new urgency. The trouble is, it has been the general dumping ground for several years - it is quite amazing what is turning up.

Afternoon folks. Had full on day yesterday - dog rescue Christmas Fair to organise and friend's concert to attend Spent this morning lounging about, catching up on Strictly and quick dog walk between rain showers. No time to catch up on yesterday's doings though I will join in congrats to Great Auntie and commiserations for Pam's lost chicken. I have so far been lucky but one of the local foxes has been spotted several times sitting on the pavement in the middle of the day outside next door's gate (she also has chooks).

Seems to be getting dark here already, though only 3.03pm. Had better try and give the dogs another outing.

Oh, how dreadfully disappointing :- ( The best I can do at the mo. bjay, is ask 'Which carol is popular in the desert?'

Another idea is to give the first two lines of a limerick (or even the first four) then several people can contribute their ideas and you get several funnies for the price of one. Quite good if it's seasonal too.

If anyone wants to try:

Said Santa to one of his deer
This chimney's too narrow, I fear...

Hello later arrivals.

Becks, I wonder if Geoff is bashing a little ball around into muddy puddles while the rain and wind hold off. I'm going out shortly to get my dogs as wet and filthy as possible.

Anyway, must share this. Have just come off phone to a friend who has secured a part-time job in an old-fashioned ironmongers shop. On her first afternoon her very first customer was a little old lady who asked if she had any candles - unfortunately she didn't specify a number. I'm sure I'll shall be popping in there very soon, perhaps for O's. If anyone else has any requests I can ask Sally for those items too.
