Oh, how dreadfully disappointing :- ( The best I can do at the mo. bjay, is ask 'Which carol is popular in the desert?'

Another idea is to give the first two lines of a limerick (or even the first four) then several people can contribute their ideas and you get several funnies for the price of one. Quite good if it's seasonal too.

If anyone wants to try:

Said Santa to one of his deer
This chimney's too narrow, I fear...

Gary, fab. photos. I love the robin's fluffed-ness and little topknot.

Hello later arrivals.

Becks, I wonder if Geoff is bashing a little ball around into muddy puddles while the rain and wind hold off. I'm going out shortly to get my dogs as wet and filthy as possible.

Anyway, must share this. Have just come off phone to a friend who has secured a part-time job in an old-fashioned ironmongers shop. On her first afternoon her very first customer was a little old lady who asked if she had any candles - unfortunately she didn't specify a number. I'm sure I'll shall be popping in there very soon, perhaps for O's. If anyone else has any requests I can ask Sally for those items too.

Morning everyone. We seem to have got through the wind and wet so far unscathed. Inka, I know exactly what you mean about an exhausting day of supply! I tend to just fill in for half days now. And like you I don't miss the politics but I do miss the children.

Raised beds are a tempting idea, though I've never seen legs on them, but I'd like to bet that between them my dogs and chickens would chuck the soil out and cause more mayhem than they do already!
