Sounds as if you'll be plenty busy enough cooking for the family, Chris - no time for buns!

not quite sure how but have just accidentally consigned my post to the Outer Darkness.

Morning Dove and Gary. Breakkfast of two warm-from-the-oven HX buns was yummy; thank you to the bakers on here who inspired me to make my own.   Haven't done so for yonks though my tried and trusted recipe is covered in stains so has been well-used in the past.

Coldish, pale greyish, no weather so far today.

Morning all. Have some belated hot cross buns in oven, hence unusually early start for me.

We have a few sunny spells promised again for tomorrow so I am hopeful that OH will help me move the chicken run and give it a thorough spring-clean. Might get some washing dry (ish) too

I spent about 4 hours in total in the garden, Derek. Doesn't look like anything because I was moving paving and bricks, digging up unwanted shrub and ivy and generally tidying, Hope your day was successful on the plot.

I've been inspired to make buns too but they are doing their first stint in the airing cupboard at the mo. Sue - Do Not feel inadequate. After 4 12 hour nights I wouldn't even have the energy to buy any!!

Liz & Bjay, I feel inspired now. If my yeast is in date I think I'll make Hot Cross Buns this evening. I love having them for breakfast, reminds me of being a child when we'd come downstairs to the smell of HC buns on Good Friday

Bjay, good going . Presumably not too difficult to drag into position?

Elevenses time. Have shifted a heap of crazy paving stones, piled up decorative cobbles, swept half the paved area, lugged prunings out to the trailer. Doesn't look any better at the moment

Morning Forkers.

Really nice to hear from Inka and Sue the Midnight Crew. Inka, I'm better on my own too - when OH is home I have many more temptations ...  food!!! in case the double entendre brigade is lurking

Sunny here and lots of cloud as well. Have to get on with preparations for paving man come what may.

Derek, the Christmas names got so confusing that I had to keep a list. I have to keep Flo, otherwise I'd forget who I am
