Nice catching up on all the news. Hope everyone's endeavours are successful ! Had a massage this afternoon, feeling a little spaced out - in a good way :- )  Hope part 2 of Ruth Rendell is worth staying awake for.

Yes, I often have trouble with slow running of this site. Usually I close browser - IE - and open it again.

:- D Gary. So it's the Rule of Fork, then?

Well done on the white ball whacking, Geoff, it will be nice to think back with pride when your on your travels.

Becks, I have one red tomato - can you beat that? Cardboard castle, eh? I sometimes regret that I shan't ever be a grandma.

Hot Hot Hot always bring to mind Mark Ramprakash in Strictly. Phwoar.... ;- )

Glyn, the two I have owned have had cat personalities - they are very inclined to do things their way and in their own good time! They also have quite cat-like faces.

Geoff, Cody obviously knows which side his bread is buttered now!

Glyn, Pepper is a Shih Tzu which means he's half cat!!!

:- D :- D Gary - two out of three, not pagan.

Becks, the stories vary a lot, this one was really for teens and adults, in other places they have stories for younger children, adventure, funny, puppets, some with activities too - all sorts of things.

Got v. hot in garden, found two magnificent stag beetle larvae, gave them an extra rotten log to be going on with. Pepper dog went awol went OH left gate open and he didn't have his collar on (dog, that is). Walked up and down street calling for Pepper, went on to main road looking in gutters dreading to see squashed grey fur. Got back home, there he was!! Little s*d must have been hiding in the garden all the time.

Time for shower. OH huffing loudly as he peels spuds for tea. St Stephen the Martyr ;- )

Afternoon all. Hot hot hot. Still doing bloomin' ceiling - now steaming and washing off sticky brown gunge left by woodchip removal. Gave up at lunchtime, now going to do gardening for a bit. Have sent OH out for a Magnum for me.

Did not watch XF, went to storytelling event in an Earth-house at Ancient Technology Centre.

Kate, so sorry to hear about OH's contretemps, hope all is soon sorted - good if perp. gets his just desserts ;- )

I think Geoff gets his menu planning from Jess these days ;- )

Yes, we do get people nicking stuff and others who complain about prices. The nickers seem to think it's OK because the stuff was donated anyway. I had an 11 year old haggling over a price this morning! I gave in; I'm no good at all that stuff which is why I never go to car boot sales.

Have been working in charity shop all morning for dog rescue. People who can't sell their tat at car boots bring it to us so we can take it to the tip and save them the bother. Lovely people also bring us stuff that has been carefully sorted and washed so it's not all doom and gloom!!

Lots of green fingers crossed for you Miss B.
I haven't read the Hunger Games. Is it to be recommended?
