Is there anything i can do to repair the damage to this camelia  it has been accidently damaged by someone and a big slice of the bark has come off.  

I feel if this isnt sorted, the shrub could

Right guys and gals...checked it out AND it is definately  what hostafan said...sisyrinchium striatum (what a mouthful..hehehe)..and the Aunt May variety...

feeling pleased...this plant has been bugging me for a few years.and now i know what it is..

look after a nursing home garden with raised beds and have never been able to idea this plant.....it grows quite tall and has beautiful yellow flowers on it.......this year i have been able to divide it and now have two more plants....

Does anyone know what the name of this plant is?

THis is my balcony garden...i grow all sorts up here...curly kale...toms.....lavender...dahlia...geraniums...summer bedding plants....love sitting amongst the plants early mor ing with a cuppa...we also have a wildish back garden....love it there too...

I wouldn't repot until the roots are coming through the bottom....i know you can trim the dead ariel roots......

i repotted all mine and regretted it..i have damaged a few in the process...Dr hessayon books are good..he has one on orchid care....i should have followed his instructions...

i do know Orchids like to fit tightly in their pot.....

after having lost a few i havent given up, just learnt my lesson Gerry...i have some beautiful orchids now...and care for them with great pride.....
