They should make a film called The war of the Slugs. There is a film called the blob.. Pretty scary when I was younger.

Talkback: How to care for orchids

Posted: 08/02/2013 at 15:39
I have got to repot a few of my orchids, the compost has broken down and also the orchids are outgrowing their pots. Am going to try the big one in a clay pot and the smaller one in a clear pot.
Have got the proper compost but am going to put a little charcoal in them. I am looking forward to doing this because it is a bit of a challenge. Have enjoyed your video Sarah, I also looked at some on you tube. All has been very helpful. Thank you.

I was looking for the thread on slugs but can't find it now, there is quite a few subjects on the forum so this is just a continuation of slug probs. I can't bring myself to kill them or snails no matter how much damage they did last year, although I do put that down to all the wet weather we had, hopefully this year the weather will be a lot better, fingers crossed. I have been the garden centre today and bought organic pellets to put around my bedding plants later on when it warms up. They are biogradable so I am hoping they will do the trick. Anyway I will give it a go.
If this doesn't do the trick then I may have to take drastic action.

Not sure where to post these types of comments so thort I would stick it anywhere, ha ha.
Think I might go for a sticky chocolate muffin, the biggest one I can find. My diet can start tomorrow.

I did quite a bit of raking up the past few days, we have a big wildish garden here at the flats, I love going out there with my wellies on and rain coat (it was cloudy and overcast so I wasn't taking any chances!)
Thoroughly enjoyed it, not much to show for my efforts but it did me good. Tired today so I am going to go into town and chill with a coffee and muffin. May even go to the library and get a good book.
Have a good day guys.

Thanks Geoff. A couple of weeks ago my flower review came up with over a thousand, didn't think to report that as faulty, didn't realise I could.
