Thank you all for replying. They were planted in flower last year. I'm looking for some signs everyday. Hope yet.

I've planted 3 lots of aconites in my garden last year. To date there are no signs of aconites growth/flowers. Any ideas why???

Thanks Verdun.I've been debating on this for a very long time. It looks good when in flower but nothing much for the rest of the year.

AWB....What colours are the witch hazels? I'm looking to palnt one in the front garden but cannot decide which one!! Your opinions valued.

Yes I saw the programme. I have in the past sown my calendula seed in the garden soil in spring. Never had any problems germinating.

Keep digging and eventually you'll get rid of most of the wild garlic. BUT you need to be vigilent!!

I've  just planted 2 lots of Lemon Queen. Love the yellow flowers but from all the above comments, I'll make sure it dosen't spread too far.
