they are up and running already. most of the perennials are popping their heads now. tulips are in bud ready to show off their beautiful petals.
you are not alone. i think we all get withdrawal symptoms during the winter months
looks like japanese anemone though
i will leave well alone and keep a diary of where everything is for this gardening season, then u can plan a makeover next year.
overgrown and paved front gardens for me
keep them where they will get plenty of light and when it comes to mar-apr, plant them deep. i normally use mine as gap fillers and they dont need any supporting.
I would love to cut mine, but my lawn is littered with crocus and daffs and i dont want to chop their heads off. i checked a few days and some have already lifted their heads
i use it as autumn mulch. As the garden is still in flower, i have got mine still in pots ready to be used as mulch after the first hard frost knocks everything off.
my garden was looking glorious till the winds yesterday. there are still a fair bit of flowers and buds which i intend to enjoy till the frost damages them, then the cutback and clearing begins in earnest
the first is definitely forget me not. a weed if u have a small garden, because they produce seeds in bucket loads.
