Overall: We purchased a Willow last year, and it is growing wonderfully. It is a grafted one, and we have noticed that there are new long shoots just above the base. Does anyone know what Willows are generally grafted onto? The leaves are long and thin and look nothing like the leaves on the rest of the tree. We have no intentions to cut the shoots off, but were wondering what it could be.
Would be really appreciative of any help!
