Right took a bit of time to make apple pie - did not want to make the pastry so mum brought some had to wait hours for it to defrost

That's good Angle that the plots get measured, maybe they are smaller, did look and see a sign that said12 on one plot and 12A for one so maybe at one point they got halved then the plot would of been much bigger 

Do you have a gh on your plot, shed or somewhere to shelter if it gets really wet?

Hello not too far away I live in Southampton, Hampshire.

Half price allotments that sound good.

Q - Do they measure out how many square metres on a plot for the amount of rent you pay?

As one thing I was reading says an allotment is normally 10 rods = 25 square metres a rod about the size of a tennis court - 250 square rods

Someone up the allotment mentioned while I was looking around being nosy - about that being one plot and it did not look that big more like a half a plot but was meant to be a whole plot - would want the plots to be measured out to pay the right rent

So many nice veg and flowers on some plots and lots of chickens - one plot was nearly all chickens

Hello all

Wet here today. Yesterday went to the station preparing area for the pallet project lots of bashing dirt moving brambles and stones (shoulder got a bit sore better today) area all sorted now 

Then brought home a bag of garden waste from our compost bin there as got far to high and the open bin not really composting - shredded it with shredder much smaller now only one more bag to do - not today though 

Star Gaze lily there is a new ish forum member called Angle from West Sussex - that is your way Angle is on the new allotment OMG...thread. you could have a forum member not far from you

Fruitcake sounds as if the compost bin a bit of a pain, think I have spotted the bamboo canes

Fruitcake does the plot go side ways in the pic or down wards me can't see the row of canes

GWRS nice you all helped the plot holder with the plot

Still find it weird that when you get the plot seems like no one has been there for ages but still long waiting lists - prob just me that thinks this
