New allotment OMG...

Hello Mel M

I signed up this year for an allotment so no plot yet but on the waiting list, have been interested in allotments for quite a few years - I have decided I would like one, do visit the allotment shop as open to the public found that out a few months ago, I have a nose around the plots they let me

Mel M  sounds as though you grow a good selection of veg - two sheds bonus, you have a lot of space triple plot, like the weed growing, have you grown cape gooseberry?

BizzieB  did not think of a poly tunnel having restrictions, I guess you have to ask if you can have one on your plot like a shed or green house

Zoomer  one of the site reps on the plot I want to get an allotment has 4 plots, your plot no 1 sounds more like a communal allotment where you can get help if needed and more likely to have plant left overs from others donated, other plot bit quite, is there not many in that area?

Philippa smith2 sounds as though you had a good harvest,  what type of broad beans are they?

Fruitcake -  I guess you could grow bedding plants, lettuce, herbs - lots of small plants in the pallet that don't get too big

Zoomer44 you could have taken over the whole site before you know it  - making it all look more tended too. I guess it does make it easier to make one large plot,  how far away is the other half plot - the other end of site?

Zoomer do you get bark chippings on your site that would make paths pretty quick to the other half of plot,   As long as the tenant doesn't rush back to the site and clear stuff up - you will end up with some goodies

GWRS sounds as though lots of grafting was done on the new bit of allotment and had a good harvest as well
