New allotment OMG...

Posted: 30/04/2015 at 11:24

I measured it think this one is about 5 rods the other 8.5 rods

This plot is not far from the other plot you can see it from there and this one has the road that goes around the allotment at the bottom

Ginagibbs here an article which could help

http://www.ehow.com/how-does_5183658_vegetable-plants-turning-yellow_.html

Zoomer our council lets you have any number of turn downs of plots, you just stay at top of list till you get one, we checked this to start with

I did not turn down the plot they let me have extra time till another one came up to compare and decide

I visited yesterday late in the afternoon hard to find the plot not numbered well very confusing 3 different plots in different places same numbers but with one number and A and B about a few mins after it started raining then really heavy so went home when getting out of gate started hailstoning on me painful

In evening went back as dryer had more of a look found some small fruit trees and raspberry's canes and a lot of mess

Here is a pic below, white building in next plot.

Strange thing is that after looking around this plot I think I prefer the first one, this one is a smaller plot

Yay! I have an allotment, but has been badly neglected.,,Help!:(

Ginagibbs that sounds good about the messy plot near you it would be nice if you got a bit or all of it, is that a half plot?  pak choi, raddish mooli white

I have not got the plot, I was unsure so they extended the time limit for me to think more about it, I checked if there were any more plots - it has taken a while and there is one coming up end of week so I will be going tomorrow afternoon to look at the plot

Going to a talk at Hillier's and container workshop where I will plant my herb basket

Hello Kitty 2 yes it is the cold frame I made out of pallets, it does wonders from moving things from plastic green house to cold frame then out in garden, moved a few bit around today now have peas in row trays in there

Your seedlings looking good

Seems ok when you sow a small tray of seeds then pricking out comes and you need lots of room  it so good to have a large green house need to put up mine around the pallet potting table

Ginagibbs that poly tunnel looks really good nice lot of seedlings in there, like your rescued trellis near your flowers makes a nice edge for the flowers to be near

GWRS make sure you have water trays under your plants if you are going away,  good going with your harvesting - things taste so much nicer when fresh and grown yourself

Hello all

Does that mean Panda could be going to Woodgreen Village for the open gardens with Woody's open garden?

Think FloBear from the other forum could be coming Woody she is from that way http://forkhandles.yolasite.com/forkers-forum.php#nabble-td109697i200|a113346

Matty2  great pic,  I did have the Larkspur seeds in the freezer for a week then sowed them this Friday - I will see if it does well they are in my room in an half tray at min if they grow they will go into the plastic greenhouse, the ones I sowed a while back still not doing anything but other seeds in tray have grown ok

I planted lots of bits into my ground bed for cutting still a bit of room left
