Fishy65 I get the Garden News mag nice Zinnias from them, you can sow them direct but will have to wait a while yet, they sowed them in little trays in the mag same as what I will do  

Lena N they look good little seedlings

Lyn some were getting leggy so decided to prick them out quicker

Here is the calendula now I have 5 of those trays worth, some will prob go to the station garden as well

Thanks Lyn, I have one big tray of lots of cells with seed in my grow house been in there a few days, think I will need to find somewhere indoors for them to grow as you say too cold out in gh - want them to germinate

TCbythesea did you have your sunflowers indoors?   I sowed some in loo roll middles put them in the grow house been in there a few days and nothing happening,  so decided to bring them back indoors want them to germinate

Lyn your seedlings all look brilliant nice lots of growth, are they in a green house? 

think next week I will start my zinnias off and dahlias

We are all thinking of growing flowers that we can cut and bring indoors to enjoy,making nice arrangements

So areas in gardens have been put aside for growing flowers to do that and flowers that are good to use have been picked to sow and grow

Just nice to be able to see what we can grow and enjoy in lots of areas in pots/ vases/ tins/ milk bottles - anything we can use to put them in

Fruitcake maybe get a bit of windbreak netting for the frame so sheltered in one area, glad they are doing ok

sorting out my flower area for cut flowers finished filling with compost and digging today even though really windy so I will be planning what to go in there next

Hello all

I got a nice delivery today some fuchsia's from Lyn which are now in my coldframe

Very windy out I added some more compost to my cut flower bed, just need to do the planning of where things will go.  Also added some horse manure around the rhubarb plants
