No rain here so had to water a lot of seedlings but did get cooler earlier on so may rain tomorrow. Was a little windy out today

I was looking around garden today and my white campion has come out pale pink I know that wiggly wigglers were having to wait a while to get the plant in stock for me, have the one I got a year before from them is white

I was thinking every one was still out enjoying the weather

Evening all - anyone about?

What did you do in your garden today?

Posted: 27/05/2013 at 17:24

Fairygirl I am referring to the hammock, prob would try get in it if I had room for one which I don't but - it would chuck me out and the only area which has trees would be where the pond is - which needs re doing liner some when think I would keep to a seat and table

I have been doing a small bit of watering as in my seed trays putting them in another tray to soak up the water

I sowed my runner and french beans direct as seeds yesterday with wigwams in place all within 1m square normally grow them as plant in root trainer but thought I would see about direct sowing them instead

Seed swap

Hi Cotty1000 - you could seed swap now if you want for summer sowing all you need to do is see if anyone wants the seed you have in a list don't need picks but can do if want and see if anyone has the seeds you want

I might have a few more seeds I can swap - will have to look - I know I have purple honesty still

Evening all

I am knackered me today was trying to sort out putting up my bean canes which was very tricky - as I have those round cane circles to make wigwam shape, every time I tried to put canes into a wigwam shape or push some into the raised bed the bits of the circle came apart so took a long time - very hard to do - would of been easier to just use a bit of string, did not think it would be that tricky.

Well finally done and have sowed French beans- blue lake, cherokee trails of tears, lazy housewife and gold rush, Runners beans - white emergo, red rum and enorma, that's a lot of small wigwams oh and a borlotti bean as well

I watched the last programme of Chelsea as well today nice to see the highlights shame it is the end for now like watching gardening programmes on TV, I will watch some bits again on iplayer and need to watch A to Z of TV gardening and beechgrove on iplayer yet for today as missed enjoy them both.

Watched country file and they had a nice bit about wild flowers will be growing loads this year.

Weather on forecast for Southampton is meant to be dry tomorrow, think I will need to rest a bit more still bit ill - maybe I will sit in garden see how much sun some areas get in the day like Alan Titchmarsh did on A to Z last week

Nutcutlet sure I spotted a bat a week ago while in the garden late flying about were lots of starlings about today fighting over the feeder
