Hello all

Big thunder here and raining a bit, really wanted to plant up my containers but scary out and wet

Tuesday was a mas of placing and planting at the station garden think some bit were difficult to plant lots of stones think I was stone mining

Yesterday was a trip to Hillier GC to a talk on bulbs we had Andy McIndoe -

he says to plant bulbs in containers for one season then plant in garden or compost them because if the foliage disappears to quick the bulbs don't get the goodness from the leave to feed the bulbs for the next year that is why they don't look as good

he also planted up a pot with lots of tulips for late season of colour in black and white and lots of bulbs as a large pot and pretty pale lemon colour wallflower dwarf sugar rush and violas and a few more pots - for impact lots of the same bulbs

I brought bright yellow sugar rush wallflower, some white muscari- grape hyacinth - white magic and some hyacinth bulbs yellow for garden and pots

Woody will add picture soon and my pics

Hello all

Had a busy day clearing as many weeds from station garden (weed-a-thon) and cutting grass down in top area of garden with long armed sheers they are a muscle building tool, the compost bin is now overflowing

So much of the garden cleared and lots of space for the new plants we brought to be planted. Some bits cut done and put into the garden waste bin - the garden looks so different now to what it did at the begin of the day

Fairygirl like your pics

DD you go for it tackle the garden tame it make it yours

Quote from Woody

Here is progress to date. Had to dig out a thick mat of viburnum roots, but glad I did. Best for the long term. Added MPC with JI to beef up the soil and tried to position the stumps to make it seem they are still growing out of the ground. Now for the grasses.
