Watching seedlings grow

Posted: 13/03/2015 at 19:37

Really is great seeing others seedlings and what they look like

Tesni  I have Larkspur to sow - did you need to put them into somewhere cold first or do they just grow fine in indoor temps?

GemmaJF your Lobelia look fab when did you sow yours?   I want to buy some seeds now,  When I sowed them a few years ago I pricked them all out individually did not know they are best in a group of seedlings

Lyn  your  7' miscanthus look brill - with grass do you keep the grass altogether or plant on as individuals?  not sure what to do with mine,  like the little tiny seedling popping up in your lobelia

Cucumber planting advice

cucumbers are really nice remember you can cut in to pieces with no skin or middle stuff  and cook in butter in a frying pan yummy and make cucumber soup - I want to grow loads this year   like them in my sandwiches

I grow them at back of veg bed with sweetcorn in front

Hello all

1Runnybreak1 not good that you had that in there and it still blow over, I did have that happen but that was when I had no bricks in there so decided to put something heavy in there you were not too bossy

The Gardeners Boy

when the plastic gh gets hot and the weather is warmer I open them up begin of day then shut in evening, then after a long time of the seedling being in there and the weather getting really hot I keep the doors open - think they are good green houses, I would buy one oh I did 2 of them

After a year or two the plastic need replacing as get warn away but they are cheap and when you put away for winter time the poles can get orange rust in mind you don't get that on your clothes it stains
