Hello all

Been doing the volunteering walking around the local park for the conservation day doing litter picking was dry before lunch but cold due to wind some areas were so muddy, my left shoulder is saw it was heavy rubbish and lots of it,  while having lunch it started raining so home time - put cream on shoulder now heat pack  - been raining lots since home

Mrs Garden nice pics apple trees  look ok, thinning out could do with a bit more but height looks fine

Weyplotter thanks for the info on the saw looked it up does look like it would be a little heavy but then most of them prop are, good you do not have to use it all the time,  great you got you bed edged

Weyplotter re compost I use brought seed compost, I not sure it is a good idea to use home made compost  as lots of weed seedlings can come up does in ours when I put it in the border things like tomatoes, you could use it on beans the large seeds then you can tell if any weed seeds come up  well that is my thoughts

Fruitcake I understand the Glastonbury mud look been to the local area for the conservation day to do the litter picking and there were lots of slide - ee and squidgy areas where people have been walking a lot

Woo2 hope the weather is nice and dry for you next weekend, Sunday will be beginning of March -   defiantly seed sowing time

Ginagibbs polytunnel sounds good when up you will be able to keep dry if it rains and seedlings will get the best light to grow
