Hello all

GemmaJF Like the sound of your bench and seed trays - what will you start growing?

Been in garden filling compost bin, watching birds gave robin meal worms - 4 degrees out there when I went out still nice out and sunny and 3 degrees when I came back in.

I sat watching birds it was so quiet out then the birds started flying it with there chirping and then noise next to me in the pampas grass think that is where the rats may be put bit food on floor see if any thing came out but no, carried on watching birds small bit more and came back in

Sort out hinges on cold frame soon

Have to sort out how to store my dahlias tubers to go into the coldframe for over wintering

New allotment OMG...

Hello all

Internet been on blip phone line not too good keeps messing up

Yesterday even in the rain went to the station no trains took some bulbs daff and bluebells and few violas and planted up a tyre planter

Today I have planted up all my allium bulbs in the planter that had the tulips in until the rats ate them, so should be a good show of alliums lots of different bulbs, fern in the middle and I have put chicken wire on them with a brick on top don't want these bulbs going, I also planted up the last of the orange tulips into plastic pots with wire on

Mum had the few alliums left and she planted them in her raised bed

Was a rather windy night, thing in garden not too damaged, looked at temperature today sunny said 6 degrees

Later got the coldframe back into the house to carry on making attached weed matting to the bottom and started putting hinges until drill battery needed charging

I am sitting in the living room as I have taken over with the cold frame being stunk out  - still the wood edge of the lid to paint to do tomorrow outside smelly paint
