Rootrainers, are they worth it

Posted: 31/03/2014 at 15:18

My root trainers are worth it they have lasted a long while even if I managed to slip a bit of the tray on top they are all held together in the frame or green tray under as I have a few different ones even a row trainer

I sow lots of runner French beans and sweetcorn they are so easy to get the plants out and plant and the roots are great, I normally use a hand held bulb planter to quick make hole the plant them out

Here is a video about them

HELLO FORKERS!

Evening all

Well done Chicky for the greenhouse move

Goodie I got a sunny day yeah, so I spent ages outside up to 6.50 then came in for food, I have been sorting out so many plant pots, cell trays, seed trays and clearing all the horrible slugs into the bin.

I made a right mess to tidy it all up - all sorted in to sizes lots of pots

My variegated lavender 6x little plants came today from qvc they look great sent from unwins

Found a frog today in my dads area of paint brushes in pots of water they have been they a while so I emptied the pots and it jumped up surprised me - so I put it down the garden nearer my small pond bucket in the ground super fast frog may be he will move in to my pond or the big pond

There is also a method Alys Flower does on her allotment called lasagne gardening about 6 minutes in on the video where she uses cardboard horse muck and few bits more to help keep the weeds away with no digging

Night Edd

I enjoyed GW but my recorder messed up so will record on Sunday

So many dahlias in one place not seen so many together before and all up at his allotment

What a difference removing the hedge around his grass boarder - then what a lot of plants to re- do his other boarder - we have acanthus in the garden and it is still growing strong
