Evening all

Volunteered today SVSC so much litter picking done lots of rubbish, weird that so many weeds - wild flowers are looking good even in the heat but the flower plants here in the garden struggle with the heat

after bit of lunch - I made pastry then the filling mix for little quiches for dinner

lot later on I watered the garden found some little green small tomatoes bees must have spotted the flowers

Woody well done for going to the garth nursery and finding some goodies

Evening all.  Visited an open garden in Sholing today.   A small garden packed with plants.  They were also selling plants and veg/jam/chutney.  Only two plants and some runner beans came home with me.

Both plants are phlox, one is an unknown colour and the other is pale purple.

They had massive tomatoes in their greenhouse and the cucumbers looked brilliant.  They were draped all around the top of the greenhouse, tied gently with string to the windows so that the cucumbers could hang down from the plants.

Just off to bed - another busy day tomorrow.  Night all.

Thank you Beaus Mum

May be you could find out who is in charge of the station near you and could volunteer and do some gardening or do a bit of gorilla gardening secretly if not in a danger zone as health and safety issues

was going to grow some of my cucumbers in there but they got eaten by slugs so no go - I really like cucumbers too

when some of the plants get moved to the station I will get a gh staging in there some of it as it is a bit broken it was a 4 tier plastic gh once - will use the space for my pricked out seedlings wallflower - holly hocks and growing some more plants

Slugs keep hiding in the floor matting in there and under bags of compost,  I keep chucking out the slugs
