New allotment OMG...

Now I get you Zoomer was thinking with the shed with no door you could have a horse stable style door as in two bits top and bottom bit one that opens and one bit shut made out of quite a few bits of wood and then you could bolt them together  to open at same time

Great find Ginagibbs with the book

Thanks for the picture GWRS was thinking of the offer from GW of clematis great idea for the water butts if I can grow them on to make bigger plants

What a lot to do Zoomer44 - does that mean you have no shed on the plot, think you will be busy - my to do list is getting no where as I have a nasty cold

Ginagibbs well done with your digging had to look up the Gloucestershire bit you one of those not sure about that

GWRS you just have to wait to get to your plot, you could watch some youtube bits

Can I be nosy and ask people when you got the call and invited to look at your plot did you walk around them or just look from the edge of your possible plot?

Just a Q for when I get to that stage

Hello and welcome Roy what sort of things are you wanting to grow?

Try and see if you can get any well rotted horse manure for your plot that will help improve the soil where needed, well sounds as though you are making a good start getting rid of the weeds, where about are you?

I was reading this interesting http://www.allotment-garden.org/allotment/new-allotment.php

and been watching more of Katie's allotment http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A7rklH3oNI8

Ginagibbs good one yes those sunflowers are brill keeping all the slug away (not they get eaten to quick before they get good tuff stems and roots)

The way I like to grow these is in tins that had food in the ring pull type, then use the tin opener to open the bottom and keep that bit in the tin - needs to lean on the bit that had the ring pull lid and gives you drainage and when ready to plant out push the bottom of the tin straight up and your plant pops out  - if you get that

GWRS great you got to spend the day up the allotment and what a harvest you have

What do you have left to do in the garden this year?
