Hello all, went to the allotment shop today had a look around more pics on allotment thread

This is the large bale of straw I brought, from the allotment shop - weighs a lot and it is about 2" shorter than my shoulders brought it to mix in with the horse manure as it is too wet

Collected the pallets today from the station

Glad you enjoyed your day Woody - nice colour tulips, I have ordered loads of different ones to plant

Chicky thanks for the comment re the station

Hello all

Thanks Lesley K for wishes and Beaus Mum

I am back had a look around Sholing station with main man and he said it all was looking good really likes the train planter said lots people were talking about it even South West Trains

Pointed out all bits that needed sorting wobbly step on passenger bridge, glass in shelters still no go and the water butt he is looking into getting us another but a bit worried it will get stolen -suggest the tank in ground but not possible for that,  but he did say if we built a cupboard around it with a padlock that may well be OK, so will have to do that to get another water butt

Went on trip to look around Woolston station garden with him and the two volunteers were there sorting out planting,  collected the hanging basket for us to do for winter bedding later on - had a look at the train bridge that goes over the road as it got replaced last weekend nice lot of new stones you can see and the trains have to go slow along the track and over the bridge

Found two pallets down at Woolston leaning against gate so dad will go pick them up later as need to put all the seats down in the car to put them in,  that will help build the cupboard for the water butt

Told main man that it is nearly a year since we adopted the stations - Woolston and Sholing he was shocked it was nearly that time all ready

We are allowed an area at Sholing for our own notice board which is good for passengers comments via email

We got to look around the old waiting room at Woolston, still got all wooden panels and where they would sell tickets - if they can get it from the man renting the room upstairs which is possible they need to think of what they can do

what would you have in an old waiting room area?  I said cake place but they think there are already some around

Enjoy your trip Woody

Mel M where are you from?

That's a cheek Ginagibbs they should let you pay half the price of a full plot, - thought they would measure how many metres on the plot and calculate it that way

GWRS Have I made you interested in the Cape Gooseberries look good don't they
