Seed Sowing

Posted: 15/03/2013 at 11:17

I grow mine in a small plastic greenhouse sometimes start of indoors on a window sill.

I have just used multi purpose compost but am going to try and have a go a seed compost as better dirt for smaller seeds. I have sown a few bits and some looking OK.

I think some seeds sown a bit later might just catch up with the ones you have sown as the weather gets warmer they grow quicker.

I just use seed tray or pots things I get when you buy plants from garden centres and some I brought my self.  I think I will start more seed sowing soon as my plastic greenhouse is up and warmed up now

Do you grow seeds indoor or in a greenhouse?

Compostable Kitchen Caddy Liners

I used them in the bin and compost looking good but bags still in bits in compost bin as end up picking bits out putting them back in the bin to compost more, so after a bit gave up with them and still year or 2 later still picking them out compost not so good

I would not say to use them as take too long to compost

BrummieBen

It is a shame I like all the small gardens front and back and veg plot it was all looking lovely and would of kept growing nicely

That is a terrible article they should make it a community garden or something not take it all apart. I liked Toby really liked watching them all there.

Maybe they need to use the garden and get new gardeners in and make another garden show maybe call something like - The gardening bug

Sinevegas

That is great, gardening is addictive and enjoyable.

This year don't want it to be that wet, good you are not put off by all that wet. I have put up my plastic green house ready for more seed sowing.

Forum is helpful

Have you started any seed sowing yet?
