Good Evening FORKERS

Posted: 09/08/2013 at 19:17

Evening everyone. Beautiful clematis, BL. I have one but it isn't as mature as that one.

Went to a wedding yesterday and ODed on wonderful strawberry cheesecake. Slimming World allows 15 syns a day and I think I had 80 1/2!! Doing penance today. Worth it, though!

OH is weeding the garden! From threatening to mow the borders, he has morphed into a gardener!

Morning everyone.

Haven't been reading the forum for a day or so and did not know about your arm, TT. Hope it is better today.

Wedding today. No, not mine!

Have a good day, everyone.

Lovely view from your office, Chicky!

Morning TT. Impressive effort going on! Hope you sort out the trellis.

FG, hope your daughter is soon put out of her suspense.

Morning all... well, its not evening, anyway. Don't know what toi do with myself today, since I'm no longer helping bro to move in to new house. Have shopped and can see that I could clean.... Garden also needs attention and at last it is not raining. Apparently, we missed a lot of excitement on Monday. The drains failed to cope and water broke through the road surface outside a nearby house and apparently there was a spectacular fountain. We came home to cones and traffic lights which mean that we have to queue to get into our own drive. So far, the cones and traffic lights are the entire show - no workers have actually shown up to repair anything.

After a diet of crisps and chocolate while working yesterday, back on the straight and narrow today. Roast chicken and veg roasted in Frylight for lunch. (Chicken reduced because its sell-by date had arrived).

Evening all. Just got in from bro's where I've been putting in another day's hard labour. Now sort of watching 'Love your garden.' Too sleepy to concentrate. Three rooms now organised, four haf-way there, but I'm having a couple of days off now to look after my own place.

Goodnight all.

Morning all. Entertaining reading this thread this morning!

More of the same for me today - Fat Club and unpacking furniture. Almost forgotten I have a garden - good job nature is doing the watering for me at the moment!

Have a good day, everyone.

I've also been thinking about Frank, FG. Hope he's OK.

Evening all. My oldest SIL also has eyedrops for cataracts. She has regular carers who do it.

Went to bro's to help them move in their furniture from Israel. Their two tiny grandchildren, now their wards, were there, Gorgeous kids who know how to yell when they don't get their own way! Absolute chaos reigned, so I made myself useful unpacking and putting away. Managed to achieve quite a lot and am going back tomorrow. Don't envy them at their age, coping with little ones, scrumptious though they are.

Welcome Stacey. Just about to go and meet my 2 year old great-niece for the first time in over a year, as well as her five year old brother. Looking forward to it.

What a shame about the vine and trellis, TT. There's one consolation - after a hard cut, it will probably romp away again with those mature roots. I hope the grapes are ripe enough to eat, but probably they're not yet?

Morning, all.

DHC, hope the exam goes well. I'm sure it will.

Mrs G, maybe I should have ordered foxgloves!

Those who have to go to work, commiserations (and secret gloating).

Has been precipitating with rain again here, FG.  It is dry at the moment and the plants are all enjoying the cooler weather and ample supply of water. I have lots to do now in the garden, but we are off to help bro in the next stage of the move (furniture arriving from old home in Israel). Never mind, might sneak in another visit to Chef and Brewer on Tesco vouchers.  I could get used to this! There was a time when it was possible to get lots of Tesco points by playing their system, and I used the last of those points to get lots of restaurant vouchers. Now, they've got wise to it and one can't do it any more. Such a shame! Still, it did free me up to shop where I like without grieving over the lost points involved.
