We r havin same problem as is our neighbour.  My other half is out there all day everyday it seems..... pickin them off and squashin the eggs.. my neighbour is out there with an electric bat for takin out flies.. he is funny to watch... but we have loads of them here there was 10 on plants other day all at once.

well alli can say is mine dont flower for the first year afer splitting or even the second one.. and sometimes i think they do get old.. howlong have you been there.. are they in full sun and well drained soil.

@gardenmaiden.. yes that is fine.. message me your addi and i will send them.. postage for them will be 2.60...

ok everyone i will comment on here when they are ready.. astrantia another few weeks and the scabious be another 3-4 weeks.. as they flower for long time..

i have some white astrantia seeds going and soon when ready giant scabious.. pinks/white and mauve.. not harvested them yet thou.. may still have some white helebore left also..

dont know what i fancy in swap at mo gardenis undergoing serious ground works with new path being put in..

i also have had lots of dead bees on the ground.. very worried about.. and also have had hundreds of large bumblebees also in the garden.. in fact it is only them i have seen on my runner bean plants..

thou i did see a honey bee today seem to be covred allover in white fur.. not seen one like that before..

also forgot to say i would be happy to swap for other coloured bearded iris rhizomes.. if anyone has any.. or any purple sibrian irises.. (like in montys garden in purples/pinks? or deep blues)
