yes nut.. and not only in gardening advice either.. i do other forums and people on those get nasty just because you dont hold their views... no need what so ever to talk to people that way when asking simple question.

i have to say that gardening is always a learning curve.. never mind how long you been doing it.. we can all go read up what is best for our area etc etc.. i get plants that the label says it likes sun.. but it hates it and loves shady.. so it is only by doing it we learn it.. and if you never ask you never know.

i was told we learn something everyday.. well most of us anyway.. so i look forward to this.. i have been gardening for years and my grandad as top shower..but i make mistakes all the time and some silly ones really.. but hey that is the joy of gardening, some grow some dont some do much better than you ever thought and some dont as well as you thought..

i love this about gardening and enjoy it every year and will continue to do so.

and for tose who come on here for advice for hteir gardens or family or friends gardens.. doesnt mean they are wrong or deserve the response they got.. it would make me feel very offended and that all my years were for nothing..no one has the right to write with such tone or venom to another poster on here.. and practically say they are stupid.. no one!!
