Perennial Foxglove?????

Posted: 07/05/2013 at 13:17

i have had some perennial foxgloves in my garden for some years now.. and i bought some more of ebay last year.. now i dont remember the name but they have creamy yellow flowers in the same shape as normal foxglove flower but only stand 18ins tall..

these have come back year after year for the fourth time now.. they die down over winter.. the first year i thought they had died,.. but mum said give htem time. and they did shoot again end of spring.. and have done each year now.

i have now seeded some for more plants and they have grown well this year..

so maybe these might... come up

bee witched.. it is great to get books for gifts..i got 2 at xmas one about taking cuttings from plants by carol klein.. and one about when to prune your plants.. both very good..

i know it is shame.. i would grow rape seed in my garden corner for them.. but it plays havoc with my hayfever.. and i try not to make it worse.. as i cant get outside when really bad at all.

i must admit i sowed mine much later this year.. as away and it was so cold.. i did mine few weeks into april and found they have come up much quicker and are stronger looking plants.

i might well do this each year..

busy77.. they will grow they just need time.. or maybe pot them up into larger pots with new compost.. that might sort them out. as the shop ones are done so early... t hey dont go out in my garden until the middle end of may.. depending on weather.

give them a chance they will grow.. when the time and weather is right.
