What's the weather like in your area?

woke up to sea fog/mist this morning..chilly.. but now all gone adn blue skies with sunshine.. not a breath of air. temperature meant to get upto 24 or so today.. so out in teh garden pricking out seedlings before it gets to that temp.

have a good day what ever you are doing to you all.

i bought mine from little garden center i use if i want something.. and i got them in 9cm pots for £1 each.. and orange one and red one.. neither have flowered.. but my mums i bougt her at same time.. have flowered.. they are in the sun all day.. mine are shady as recommended on label..

i split mine end of feb.. i just stick them in normal compost with some home made stuff to. then i give  them a leaf feed liquid which gives them a boots.. but i have only ever had one die on me.. they are quite tought plants..

yeah..very hot was 23 yesterday here and getting hotter.. i had to hose the garden last night as everything is drooping.. and the lawn almost all brown now.. except in the shaded garden it still hanging in there. we have not had rain since 2 august and that was not much.. and some weeks before that when had it last.  butts are empty now and getting desperate over here.

@pennipetal.. that is so my sort of garden.. it is colourful and natural looking in formation.. loving the effect of the grasses in the bottom picture.

@christopher2... thanks for that info.. i will try cuttings.. they are much faster.. but i never always kow when to take them.. i assume when they are in full shooting or growing mode is when i do most of mine or when i am dead heading..and for splitting my astrantias.. i assume it is just same as splitting primulas and many otehr plants.. i will give that a go.. never thought of that with them
