Geranium 'Philippe Vapelle' Hardy geranium

Posted: 28 August 2013
Overall: I garden on heavy clay and I originally bought this plant from the Swiss Gardens at Old warden, Bedfordshire. I planted it in a shady damp corner where it has thrived. I have now got a patch in a sunny, dry bed - that too thrives. What I particularly love about it is the textured leaves with rounded edges - quite different from any other geranium I have ever seen. Not a showstopper, but hardy, reliable, and always noticed by other gardeners.
