Water butts

My new house is coming along all my bulbs now in,thinking of next year I will need water butts as I am on a meter and do not waste water anyway ,does anyone know of a scheme that provides butts like they did with composters tried the local council and water board no luck I will buy them if needs be but pennies are few and far between thanks anyone that has any info Gill in Anglesey x

i have what i believe is an anglesey palm i have been told to cut it right back soon for healthy regrowth next year is the advice correct i will upload a photo as soon as ive mastered my new phone camera

i bought my parents a beautiful rose "our molly" to plant where their much loved dog "molly" was buried i would love a cutting for my new house when is the best time to take it and what is the best method?

thank you freshair and Muddy what type of fish eat algae ,i don't want to overcrowd the pond.I wongered about barley straw is it worth a go like you say though the herons are not so likely to steal ! i'd just like to see them myself

i have just taken ownership of my first pond i asked advice and have followed it which was to make sure the uv filter bulbs were working which they weren't so have replacced with new i though it would only take a few days to clear but it hasn't there are koi carp in the pond but i am told they don't mind murky water it would just be nice to be able to see them..........what else can i do?
