Overall: The blossom on this tree (I have three I love it so much) is so dense that the tree looks like the top of Everest, covered in snow! Covered in crab apples during the winter it is a great favourite of the local blackbirds.

Overall: Fruits definitely ornamental... in fact they are so small that I am not sure if I have ever noticed them. You grow this tree for the bark... the Sheraton tree, says it all.

Overall: You rarely need to do this as so many little shoots come up around established plants. Just pull one gently and it will come up with roots intact. You may need to cut it from parent plant beneath the soil.

Overall: The picture here is Chlorphytum comosum 'Vittatum', which has green margins and a central white stripe. The decription (not the picture) is Chlorophytum comosum 'Variegatum', with white margins on green leaves.

Overall: Temperature wise, Agave americana do fine in the UK. Rain wise, they do badly. So you need well draining soil (70-90% grit to compost). It is worth putting in a sheltered spot (under trees, greenhouse, carport) over winter, the key is to keep the soil dry. When large-at 30 years they are 8ft by 8ft-then they are hardy to keep outside over winter with well draining soil all around the Agave.

Overall: Here's one for All Allium lovers! Try simply leaving some of your every day Leeks to run on to flower ,pop cut heads into vase for kitchen. (very attractive),nip a few petals from flowers sprinkle on salads or in salad sandwiches. (very tasty). Happy gardening everybody.

Overall: I have admit I have a weakness for Alliums, and these add interest to the garden, they look great in clusters and I,m fully intending on adding more to my collection.

Overall: I have this plant in my garden its beautiful, grows quite tall but is open enough to plant flowers around its base, I highly recommend it :)

Overall: I bought one on Saturday for my new arch to compliment rose golden showers but wish I had bought 2 of them.

Once it grows and blooms I shall come back and rate it.

Overall: I personally would not have one again.I planted this over a pergola about five years ago,which contained a beautiful David Austin rose,Honeysuckle & Mrs Bateman Clematis.While it started off looking & smelling very nice,it has turned into a 'beast' & is strangling everything in site! It also sends out runners along the ground which invade everything & are difficult to remove -no amount of cutting back,seems to kill it,so if anyone has any ideas of how to depose of it I would be very grateful.x
