Fork Handles

Hello jackie frost, I tend to chop them finely (removing the seeds) and add them to the onions when they are cooking. After that I add the mince (usually browned in a separate pan to remove the liquid!)

Well...I have tried to change my profile and there seems to be a problem. Thinking about it perhaps the Help Desk has a full in-box so hopefully I shall remember some time next week to persevere!

Panto dame, thank you for the welcome.....I have been meaning to come in for weeks but never seemed to get round to it .

I think reading my friend's Gardeners' World inspired me so here I am. I have treated myself to a subscription for next year and hoping it will arrive soonest.

Where are most of you based? Not being nosey....just interested .

New Year fizz....I loved Firl wo played with fire....took me a little while to work out what it was! Only teasing....

Weather here in Cambridgeshire pretty disgusting at the moment....haven't we had enough rain for quite a while?

Am itching to get out into the garden but don't fancy bringing half of it back to the house with me! All being well round here Sunday should be reasonable. Hope it is the same for all of you, too

How does one go about suggesting smilies? Something to do with spring, bunnies, easter eggs?

I hope I am not repeating myself as I thought I had already sent a reply - bear with!

Thank you for your replies Maud is in the garden and Mummy Muddy Paws - by the way I love both of your names! I shall take your advice and once the last fruits have ripened I shall be having a good session of dealing with the brute

Very overgrown blackberry

We have inherited a very overgrown blackberry at the bottom of the garden. Yesterday I gave it a thorough 'short back and sides' and exposed more healthy unripe fruit but feel it would benefit from a good prune. When does one do this and how much can one cut/hack it back?

Many thanks for your replies, kate1123 and figrat. You have given me some very good suggestions. By the way I love the idea of giving the bins a hefty kick - it sounds very therapeutic
