I know, Brumbull. The poor farmers have had a very rough time. Do they get any form of compensation? I think they should.

That reminds me, Fairygirl. I must buy some sweet peas seeds. What variety are you growing?

Birdbath still frozen here so must get up and out to break it. I have a blackbird that loves its bath on a regular basis and is so funny to watch!

Yes, thankfully no frost today but earth still too cold to plant anything which I am finding very frustrating. Aren't you?

Does this endless cold weather mean that all the veggies we eventually sow will be weeks and weeks later?

Hello Everyone, sorry I haven't been in touch. Hope you are all very well despite this grim weather we are having . Still we are better off that some peeps in Cumbria etc so have a lot to be thankful for.

Is anyone managing to do anything in the garden? I did dig a big area of the veg patch a couple of weeks ago but apart from that have kept indoors as much as possible.

Just been onto the Lavendar World site

http://www.lavenderworld.co.uk/lavender-products?gclid=CPzRvaPZs7UCFYfJtAod1hEAOA

and they have a very good selection of vegetable and flower seeds and as Caz says no postage in the UK. Must try and remember them for next year but this year I need to use up the seeds I already have!

Hello....been doing a catch-up and just hope I am on the right thread this time .

Very sad news about your aunt, Pam. Remember the happy times.

Loved the bit about the orgasmic bread. My late mum insisted to a bus driver years ago  that the name of the house she was looking for was called 'Cocktails' and in fact it was called 'Small Drinks'! It involved the whole of the country bus discussing it and as a child I quietly died with embarassment.

Bought my earlies today and keep intending to get down to working out my seed planting timing as well. It is so cold here that I really cannot believe the seeds would mind being delayed a but more!

Take care everyone....so far no snow here but I believe it is on its way...grrrr
