Mothers are tough cookies in my experience, Bunny. I'm sure she's known worse!

Chicken and roast veg has been consumed and sore finger is still being dunked.I might need to indulge in some of that Lidl chocolate.......

As a former conservation land manager, I can only say that you should cut as often as you can and rake off.

Been clothes shopping - yuk! Didn't find any shoes (I have wide feet) which is ironic as it's Clarks Village. Mind you, I have never found any shoes to fit me there - I'll have to go back to my favourite proper shoe shop in Crewkerne again.

Sleeting here and bitterly cold. Saw ickle lambs in the fields but the poor things looked frozen and were huddled under the hedge banks.

Bought lots of seeds very cheap in Lidl's, also some bird netting for £5. They still had fruit trees for £3.99 (I think) but I didn't buy one. Bought chocolate......

Very cold here, winter coat out again, and a bit of wind.

Do you need the bicarb, Rosa?

I just remembered my sourdough was proving so have put it in the oven - can't go shopping until it's out........what a shame.

I hope all you mothers out there geat lovely treats from your offsprogs - you deserve it!

Looking forward to the sunny cold, Bunny. It should dry things out a bit. Got rather depressed yesterday when most of the allotment seemed to be sticking to my boots and tools.

Might order another raised bed today - beats shoe shopping!

Morning, Forkers.

Got soaked in a cloudburst when I nipped to the stupidmarket yesterday teatime - the road turned into a river. Don't think I'll be visiting the allotment - AKA claypit - today.

Might go to shop at Street, after I have listened to The Archers omnibus, had a shower, procrastinated a bit more.......
