Sanjy67 put some bird seed in the scarecrows hair, might encourage them!

Lily, I want your seat and your birdbath... and my dog wants that pond!

Joybell, any idea which penstemon it is? Its so pretty, love tall perenials.

Pat, amazing space, you really have your work cut out

Lily, I'm seriously envious of your woodland garden.. not of the amount of work that must be involved though

How do I plant Rosy Garlic (Allium Roseum) seeds?

Posted: 15/07/2015 at 14:41

I have some beautiful rosy garlic which has finished flowering and now has just the seeds left on stalks (sorry for lame description!). Given that they are essentially wild flowers, will it work if I just chuck the seeds onto the ground where I'd like them to grow? Or do I have to be a bit less lazy than that?

Joybell what are those lovely tall pink flowers in your 3rd pic down? And the tall white ones for that matter?

Thank you Susan, its a Callistemon (Bottle Brush). Its the first year in 3 that its actually flowered properly, so we're really pleased with it even though its a bit leggy. As for the apples, we need to give more away this year. I still have some in the freezer from last year (and possibly the one before that!) Hoping to make some apple jams or jellies or something if I can find a nice recipe

Also loving Joybell's hedgehog den. Makes me want to make a special one like that for our little hedgepigs.

This is (the best) part of our garden. Still work to do but getting there!
