| About me: | I am 26 years old and have loved gardening since the age of 9 years old when I helped my mother build gardens at our farm. Some of the best memories of my childhood are spending days planting things and helping to build rock gardens and raised beds the list goes on. I remember vividly the sheer excitement when something I had planted would bloom or finding a certain type of plant that we had been looking for.
I never knew my grandmother she too used to have a passion for gardening and used to run a small plant nursery selling mostly annual seedlings, so I guess its in my its in my blood.
I no longer live near my mother and do not see her as often as I like, but my love of plants, soil and growing things has stayed with me all my life. I now live in a beautiful victorian cottage that for some years has been neglected prior to me moving in, it has an amazing south facing garden which I grow many kinds of plants in from lupins, hollyhocks to Hostas and ferns. |
