Heating the greenhouse

I have made myself a propigation bed with heated cables that warm the soil and are controlled by a thermostat, that really helps keep my greenhouse warm.

Here is my rant: Why are Jersey Plants Direct selling Busy Lizzy that are prone to fungus and why are is there no disclamer. I just bought 160 and have only just found out about the fungus that is killing them !!!!!

Jersey Plants Direct - Impatients Summer Water Fall

Busy Lizzy Walleriana

Posted: 25/03/2013 at 21:38

I was reading the article about the fungus that is killing Busy Lizzy Walleriana and also how there are some strains of Busy Lizzy that are not affected by the fungus.

What has really upset me is that the other day I bought 160 Buzy Lizzy "Summer Waterfall" from Jersey Plants Dirct. When I bought these plants from them there was no disclamer about them being prone to the funus. I have a strong feeling that "summer Waterfall" is the Wallerianna strain of Buzy Lizzy, would anyone mind having a look and letting me know what they think are these Walleriana ??

Has anyone ever grown the above Clematis ?? Are the flowers really as pale as they look in pictures. Also I have a rather large old Clematis growing on the side of my house I have no clue what type it is, its now got shoots bursting out when should I prune it ? Its looking thin near the bottom fat round its centre and sent up some more thin shoots that are taller than me and Im 6'1 ft.
