Beetroot

my beet roots were around 4ft talll (plant lol not beet) and the beets were nto even golf ball sized, i pulled them up to make room for other stuff, will not be growing it again lol

Sweetcorn

i started sweetcorn off in seeds, planted out at 12", they got to around 3ft then started with the cobs, now its 4ft and stil growing taller but has cobs on each leaf node, i do tnothing to mine and 1st year of growing, check my latest vid on youtube for a talk through of it, Search gummer4england in youtube

Tomatoes

a old make up brush is perfect for pollonating yoru plants if the insects are not hard working and lazy in your garden lol

Rhubarb in pots.

i too am interested in "over wintering" rhubarb etc, i have had rhubarb previously in the ground but since moving this year bout some seeds from ebay and had 100% sucsess, the seedling/plants are around 6-9" in height n nice think leaves i dont think il plant out this year unless i get advised to on 1 of my vids by my subscribers and followers etc but wanted to say seeds are a easy way to grow it

i purchased my "free" plugs on 16/6/12 posted here so i had a reference and mine ahve arrived today, the same as the image kate1123 has added previously, not bad if im honest they are small and NOT ready for thsi year but... they look healty and good root system, granted we could probably buy seeds and raise them ourselfs for next year but with all my fruit and veg i dont want to worry about seedling for flowers too so i think its probably worth the 5quid, 

i have transplanted mine into a bigger tray and will moitor the progress and get them ready for next spring, personaly i would not bother with buying any in future as it will be cheaper to buy seeds and do it your self

i use a company called "Premier seeds direct" on ebay well over 20 times and always had 100% sucess and cheapest on ebay for the quantity, checked that seedaholic site out and it seems expensive

orderd me sum of the "free" plugs also and for a £5.00er you cant complain, check ebay for even 1 type of the varaity and your looking at over 5quid for plugs for 6, so even if it takes 6 weeks (yes i know you could buy seeds and do it your self lol) there stil worth it, i really only bought it for the lavander adn the rest are a bonus to fill my borders with more colour as long as there healty when they arrive i dont care of the size lol they will soon shoot up in a good pot of soil

slug pellets

if you have issues "removing" them just think of the situation like this for the pain, of them like a dog been given the "sleep" injection and go to sleep all naturally and pain free (obviously this is fictional and not fact based and only a way to help you deal with your problem)
