Hello , there is a more up today's forum site on the fruit & veg site which is new allotments no.2 

I wouldn't have thought compost bins would completely stop flooding but would help , as would the ditch if it was cleared 

Yes horses feeding on your crops could be a problem , you could plant jureslum artichokes in a small section by the fence to see how far they can lean over 

Would recommend that any wooden fence posts are concreted in with " post concrete "

Makes your plot more interesting having horses

Gardengirl , well done for having entering and special well done for potatoe Firsts , a prize winning entry  is always exciting 

It looked like a lots of entries , are there other sections jams etc ?

Off shopping with o/h shortly will pop up to plot to water this afternoon , it is a lovely day

Hello , yes lots of watering , ground is really dry at allotment 

French beans doing ok , runners not so good this year , however very late in putting them in 

o/h does roast beetroot as a veg , had some raw grated with salad tonight , don't like beetroot soup thou

Clari , didn't known chard could grow that big  Wonder just how big it would have got , particularly as they are hardy ?

Hello , certainly made a good start , Fairygirl is right , it is good when you start getting the benefits 

Wondered what the " angle iron " was for ?

I a assume you are going to use comfrey for a liquid feed
