in the high street where i live there is a hedge of leylandi , other than a bit of green on the top you have over 6 feet of dead branches , looks terrible , the house next door had the same problem but had there taken out in spring 

probably have been " manicured " in the past 

Anyone done any gardening today?

Gardengirl , we can burn at any time as long it is in a fire dustbin , in fact o/h just got a new it was in the sale at Morrisons , only £8 , a bargain , other one nearly had it , have burnt so much in it over the years clearing the site 

Must admit I like a fire

Hello all cut lawns this afternoon , then trimmed bay tree and some odds and sods , garden wheelie bin full ready for collection 

going to have day at allottment tommrow

Funny that I have this evening started tidying up the iris , all I do is collect up the dead leaves and of course any weeds growing , I have already dead head the flowers ages ago

Hello this happen to next door , they where infested with red spider mite and one by one they died  , also it could be the age , as as been said they don't last that long 

it could be terminal for them

Hostafan 1 , we eat late on Wednesday so I will be recording it ,  do like Grand Designs , don't always like what is done but usually do 

Do you remember the converted Life boat station in Tenby
