Squirrels , we have had problems with them , I use pots with chicken wire over top until they start to grow and also put it over those on the ground until established

Cat food  - we have a stream at the side of the garden then farm fields and at times we do get rats and we would not want to encourage them , next door has more problems than us as they like to nest under his sheds 

Wouldn‘t visiting cats eat the food ?

Advice please 

My o/h has seen on line that we shouldn’t give Hogs , mealie worms , very technical reasons from a vet which quiet frankly could not understand , therefore , do real people known the answer ?

Please note it would not be possible to put Cat food out

I also got a load of spring bulbs from G/W yesterday , not looked at them yet , going to order this month offer of Tulips as well

Johnny , I leave my dahlias in the Ground , just cut back after first frost and mulch , one day may come in stuck

Gurnesy D , asparagus , the  2 small beds in the garden we don’t eat but let it bush up , has nice red berries 

however , when it goes brown I cut it down 

At the allotment we have a large bed for cutting and eating in May / June 

Keep doing little jobs in garden , o/h just cut blackberry stems down and some ivy

Hello , thanks for update 

Went to plot yesterday to clear bed of sun flowers , needed heavy duty loopers to cut some of the stems real monsters , put heads on another bed for birds  and hopefully get some self seeded plants 🌱 

Fair seems very interesting 

When I put in Broad Beans , will eventually cover with a cloche 

We have found Japanese onions don’t store well

Agree lots to do , best wishes
