New allotment OMG...

Hello a day up the A , lots done plus planted cos lettuce , turnips , swede and chard 

picked some gooseberries , lots of radpsberries and strawberries 

More courgettes , potatoes and broad beans 

brought home garlic , now dry and some onions 

local village garden/ produce show on Saturday so need to decide what we are putting in ?

one of the apple trees , all the apples have some sort of disease , will have to find out what the problem is , also plum tree keeps on growing , no plums , wonder if the stock rock has taken over !

a good day but done in , hot bath , couple of beers , nice dinner beginning to feel better

Hello , I have put net over my strawberries at the allottment , I get them from poundland and some tent pegs , very successful , can you guess how much it cost ?

Hello , very little rain in Lincoln have to keep watering , although it is due today 

in the green house the cucumbers are rampant , lots of male flower thou 

just about to start feeding tomatoes in G/H , however have lots of cherry toms in hanging baskets , can get battered by wind

Hello , definitely snails / slugs

however as an alternative to slug pellets , I use horticultural grit , it is to sharp for the creature to crawl over , I have used it very successfully for my hostas for many years and I let them flower

We have harvested the onions we planted last winter , drying in storage shed and garlic drying  in cold frame 

my pumpkins are not growing and only 1 squash is doing any good , courgettes are producing lots , also planted a round one , in fact had a courgette bake for dinner 

leeks looking good have 2 beds of these one only planted a couple of weeks ago

pak choi needs thinning out , carrots have suddenly started to grow , however , you never know what they are like until you dig them up 

forcast not good for tommrow might get up there in afternoon
