 Hello orignal half , foreground squash planted in Aspagus bed , leeks , sweet corn that the rats ate ,plus lots more ,  winter project is to glaze the second hand greenhouse

post in today , weather permitting will fence in to row and I will put a picture on the site

always nice to see pics , keep them coming

Wild life , somebody on the site had some Quail , unfortunately a mink got in and killed them all , it climbed the wire fence , so the people have have put a roof on , hopefully that will help protect some more Quail

Mel M , looks like we have something in common I too am a true Brummie but now live in rural Lincolnshire

thanks for the info on blueberries and Cape Gooseberrys 

costs we pay £50 for our plot which is 30 by 130 feet half plots cost £25 and membership of the allotment association is £3 and we have water on site and that costs £1 for a water tub or £3 for a water cube and they hold 1000 litres 

we intend to spend Sunday and Monday there doing the fencing on the new half plot to stop the rabbits getting on it

Question for Mel M , I planted 2 very small blueberry bushes las year in earcasious compost and they have survived , have you any tips as they get bigger ?

Hello , Phillipa have been looking on Internet about Cape Gooseberrys they look interesting , always willing to try something different

Do you protect it over winter and against birds ?

Any wine makers out there?

Never come across Tomatoe wine , interested to known how it goes?

In the past never been to keen on wines from veg but everybody tastes are different , just like gardening , that what makes it interesting

Hello that weed killer see the pictures about , we bought some just to tackle " horse tail " , pleased to say it seems to be working , Amozan and one a garden centre sell it

personlly I would have thought the only natrual way to deal with weeds is to dig them up ,

Mike is there really a natural weed killer spray ?

Hello everybody , on our new half we have already planted onion and garlic , with some more to go in

on the orignal half we have a raspberry forest which we have slowly been cutting back and digging up , we intend to start again on the new half , they are all summer rasberrys ,so intend to put some autumn ones in as well 

Mel M sounds like a full time job , any pics ?
