Stagbettle , it was my O/H birthday on the 27th hence away for a few days

Kings seeds catalouge has a great selection of green manure for different times of the year

Hello , anybody grown fennel , last year grew some but instead of a bulb it was long and thin OK to eat but not what was expected 

Left some in the ground overwinter and they seem to be growing again , any advise or comments welcome

Everybody so busy , I'm on Holiday in Tenby at present , plan to start gardening and allottmenteering Easter , hope the weather OK

ps. Anybody known where I can get chickpea seeds grew them last year , a great crop ?

Lucyl , yes like the planters and really like the idea of fence pot hangers , I will have to have a think about it for myself , obviously lots of work 

I have brackets for hanging baskets from concrete posts , when they a re up and flowering will have to put a picture on hear

Gardengirl , 17 bags of horse manure must be a smelly

Our A gets somedody with lots of horses to bring it to us , they are pleased to get rid of it , why see if a local stable will deliver

Fruitcake will you put pictures of choo on site ? Are you going to name them ?

Anybody on allottment site have bee hives ?

not been able to get to A so getting a bit behind but with weather being so cold not to worried , although a glouruious sunny day in Lincolnshire today , been to the seaside at Skegness 

Stagbettle have you thought about " green manure" would that count as cultivation ?I am sure as long as you are working the plot and keeping it tidy you would be OK
