Has been a glorious day , been to allotment 

Having rest before dinner , sun still shining

Hello all , lovely sunny day , have been to allotment today 

Having a rest , beer , cigar before dinner , roast chicken and lots of veg but not home grown I am afraid 

Dovefromabove having Rubbard with custard for pudding

New allotment OMG...Part 2...

Hello , just having a couple beers before dinner , we have been up at allotment today 

Dug bed and planted first early potatoes , Swift , should be ready in 7 weeks , never grown these before 

Also dug a bed for secound earlys , hard work as I had never dug this bed properly before , got lots of horse tail out , will dig again before planting 

Broad beans got battered by snow from Friday 

O/H did lots of weeding 

Also put up arch bought from Aldi last year , can't believe how big it is 

Do not have a slug problem but have shredded material on path but do put pellets in glass jars on each bed 

Curry plant in a tyre has a nest with baby birds in , amazing !

Hope alls well with everybody

Hello , definately coming into garden as they are leaving poo 

Will put some mealy worms tonight 

Unfortunately  I have put a fence around allotment as we have rabbits and hares , both will just eat everthing

Runnybreak you got me remembering , we always went to Canon Hill park in Birmingham as they would have Tulip festivale 

My mum was a really good gardener and we had a large garden , compared with new houses these days 

Happy days from 50+ years ago

Tulip spade , looked like a cut down spade to me , yes nicely eccentric  , which is good in my mind , enjoyed the show
