Hello , I have decided not to put any seeds in until April

Still got some garlic and shallots to plant in the A and need to prepare potatoe beds

Plot no is 6S

Did anybody see the eclipse this morning , nice and clear in Lincolnshire

Wonder how this effects those that plant by the Moon ?

Ginagibbs I would phone the RSPCA , however , I suspected they won't be interested , if I am right , contact your local Wild Life trust who I have always found really helpful

Runner bean , your method is the traditional one practised on our A site , could sub shredded newspaper for carboroad because it is only me that likes runner beans I just use a wigwham of canes in an  area that  I manured last year plus some compost when I put the beans in

Hope you get lots of frogs

Gardengirl , yes rent paid for another year . AGM , leaving gate open and unlocked still a problem , paying allottment fee now compulsary £5 per plot in the past it was voluntary but funds are low and needed to cover costs , the rent goes to the land owner , new secretary and treasurer elected and a thank you to everybody that helped with a Autumn tidy up of the boundary hedges and repairs to the roads

Fruitcakes chicken run looks impressive

Woo2 I would just plant the potatoes and not worry about how long the shoots are , some will get knocked off but that should'nt matter when you plant them

Hoildays went on a cruise to Norway to try and see the Northern Lights which I am pleased to say we did see them at sea when sailing from Alta
