New allotment OMG...

Posted: 27/01/2015 at 20:52

Just sorted my seeds out today , on holiday in Feb so will think about it when back

Bought some Mangetout seeds today , never grown before , assumed just like growing ordinary peas ? any tips out there ?

Anyone done any gardening today?

Gardengirl peach tree seems a good idea so looked them up , unfortunatly I don't have a sheltered enough spot in the sun

Potatoes have arrived , Winstons - first earlies , Nadine - second earlies grown these before nice spud and finally Maris Piper - mains all now chitting in egg boxes

Gardengirl , I would definaetly chase up the Council By asking them for an update

I would also go and see if there are any empty plots on the sites and if there are I would ask the Council to clarify the situation , perhaps ask other plot holders what's happening

Best of luck

I inherited an rasberry forest on my allottment and the only way I could tell was to let them flower and fruit , mine all turned out to be summer ones

Hello , wondered what tyou of fencing you have ?

Is it bamboo fixed to something ?

It might be worth visiting a few gardens , even stately homes , just to get some idea of what you like , much better seeing it for real

Have you got a seating area ?

What ever you do enjoy your garden
