Talkback: Moles

Posted: 31/01/2014 at 11:02

last year I attend a talk on Garden problems which included Moles and the Lecture felt that the only permanent solution to them is Traps and Poison but this needs to be done professionally . All the other solutions are not permanent , even then another one could turn up

Best of luck everybody

No , it is definitely down to each Local Authority to decide its own policy on car parking places .

Not The Government

Berghill you do seem to have a problem , the only person I know who permanently stopped moles in his garden sunk slabs into the garden , like an under ground wall , then got those left inside killed , a bit drastic but !

Greenhouse watering in summer

I agree with Dove , I us bottomless pots cut into the grow bags and only put 3 per grow bag . I use water crystals in hanging baskets for cherry tomatoes outside and it works well

I put my chillies in big pots at the back of the greenhouse as they seem to like it there ,  we get a neighbour to water , when we go away in the summer

I do know of somebody that rigged up an automatic watering system linked the they water butt but I'm not that DIY minded myself , much easier to ask a neighbour or friend - best of luck
