how I keep snails/slugs out of my raised beds - 100% effective!

Whenever I plant something which is likely to become 'slug and snail bait' I immediately reach for the slug rings.Easily ordered on line they are not a CHEAP option but if you choose them carefully and buy those which are open ended, the diameter can be varied and once they surround your plant it's pretty well slug proof.....and if cared for, the rings last for years.

Monkshood (Aconitum) is exceedingly poisonous to dogs (especially lively puppies who might just grab a piece on their way around the garden) and might I here add that folk who love their CATS should avoid growing lilies. The pollen spells death to a cat!

I wonder if it might be Feverfew....Tanacetum parthenium. Generally it seeds very easily, but I suppose the acid test is whether it will produce white daisy-like flowers....or, more to the point, whether you are happy to live with it until then!!

We love Ulster Prince....a first early potato I believe. We order online and grow them quite successfully both in beds and in bags.
