Any ideas?!

Hello!  My mum has the following plant in her front garden and doesn't know what it is - any ideas?  Sorry, it's a bit bedraggled due to the rain!  I tried to get the leaves in the shot, in case it helped with the identification.  The flower looks as though it has a little cap /lid over the top.  Thanks in advance for your help.  Helen

Thanks Nutcutlet & Ernie's Ghostly Gold Tops (love that!).  I should have checked the other posts first, then wouldn't have worried.  Thanks for responding!

Mushrooms/Toadstools in Lawn

Hi all, my lawn has become infested by mushrooms (or toadstools - I don't know the difference).  I've never had this problem before and have no idea how to get rid of them (or what to do to ensure they don't come back).  Any ideas?  Thank you!

Thank you Madam Worzel Gummidge & Bookertoo!!

Fantastic, thanks for the plant name.  I put it in a well known search engine (!) and the images were exactly like it.  Thank you very much for the planting tips - I'm a novice at gardening, but if I can find them in my Garden Centre, think I will give them a go (my small garden is southwest facing and the patio is a little suntrap, so fingers crossed).

Thanks again!

Hi Kate, it was taken at a wedding in Kent, last June.  The venue had beautiful grounds and I saw this flower in the garden as I was leaving. I've just looked up 'Zinnia' and they look too large (but very beautiful).  These were quite small flowers.  But thank you for replying!

Help Identifying a Flower

Hello everyone.  I have a flower I'm trying to identify - I took a photo of it last Summer and would love to find out what it is and purchase for my garden this year.  I can't upload it as an attachment to this message, but have managed to upload it as my profile photo - it's the pink & yellow flower to the left!  Thank you.

Thanks Alina.  The image is under 1MB and is a jpg, but it still won't let me upload it.  BUT....I have managed to save the image as my profile photo, so will ask if anyone recognises that!  Thanks for your help.

Hi, I can't seem to upload a photo of a mystery flower!  It's a jpg, but when I try to add to a post, I get an error message saying 'image is not a valid file type. Please check and try again'...?  What type of file should it be?  Please help.  Thank you!  Helen
